SASSA status is a procedure where an applicant searches for all types of SASSA grants while SRD status is specifically for the Social Relief of Distress grant.
So there is no difference when it comes to checking the status of the grant application and the only difference is the SRD-specific grant application.
However, most of the applicants use the SASSA status term when they search on Google to check the SRD application status. So it is also correct to use the SASSA word instead of SRD and vice versa.
