Differences Between SASSA and SRD Status Checks
There needs to be clarity among the SASSA grant applicants and beneficiaries about the difference between SASSA and SRD status check. And many of you think of them as two different things but they are not. We will see why there is a misconception about this topic and what you should know about it.

What is the SASSA Status Check?
SASSA Status Check is a procedure where the applicants of SASSA check their SASSA grant application status online. The process is necessary for all the applicants as they need to check whether their grant application is approved.
What is SRD Status Check?
SRD Status Check is also a procedure for checking the grant application status. But it is specifically about the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant. If an applicant wants to check his SRD application status, he searches online as “SRD Status Check” and then checks the approval of his application.
What are the Differences Between SASSA and SRD Status Checks?
There are not so many differences between SASSA and SRD status checks. Both are the same things and procedures.
SASSA status is a procedure where an applicant searches for all types of SASSA grants while SRD status is specifically for the Social Relief of Distress grant.
So there is no difference when it comes to checking the status of the grant application and the only difference is the SRD-specific grant application.
However, most of the applicants use the SASSA status term when they search on Google to check the SRD application status. So it is also correct to use the SASSA word instead of SRD and vice versa.
